About Lakes Area Connect
A place to keep up with the place you love.
Lakes Area Connect brings together practical local notes, weekend choices and stories from Detroit Lakes and the surrounding lakes country.
For the everyday local, too.
You might live here year-round, come back for a season, or be making a family plan for Saturday. The useful details should be easy to find.
Good information leaves room for people.
A weekend guide can help someone get out the door. A familiar place can bring a memory back. A practical reminder can make a small job easier. The community brings its own stories and conversations.
Care in the details.
Local facts stay linked to sources. Time-sensitive information carries dates. Photographs have credits, and illustrations are labeled.
